Most powder shops wash and go. It is a normal practice to just hang items and do a pre rinse and skip any and
all abrasive prep.




We aren’t picking on anyone in particular but these pictures depict a part that was washed and shot just around 1 year ago. There is powder popping off of the edges, bleed through from corrosion existing prior to paint, lack of coverage, and rust showing up. The main part if bidding jobs like this for a powder shop is being able to follow through with some sort of value to the end user. Media blasting a surface to gain a mechanical bond is crucial for the item to last in any condition.
